A panel of judges recently selected six local fashion designers and two handbag designers (listed below) to be featured in the first ever Independent Designer Runway Show during Bellevue Fashion Week. The designers will present 6-8 looks from their collections on the runway at the September 26th show.

The winning designer will receive a monetary prize package provided by Fashion Group International and Fem City Seattle to help build their business. They will also receive additional recognition during the month of October with a special display of their work showcased at The Bellevue Collection. The independent designers will be joined on the runway by Seattle-area designers Lizzie Parker and Lisa Vian Hunter who were recently featured on season one of NBC's Fashion Star. Tickets to the runway show are on sale now.
